UA junior running back Ka'Deem Carey has been named the 2013 Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Year, the first-ever Arizona player to receive the honor. Carey is Arizona's all-time career rushing leader with 4,070 yards and is currently the nation's No. 2 rusher with 156 yards per game. He also is a Doak Walker Award finalist and Heisman Trophy and All-America candidate.
Michael T. Hartley, an assistant professor in the UA College of Education, launched a Sports and Wellness Camp for veterans with spinal cord injuries and diseases through a $50,000 grant from the Paralyzed Veterans of America Educational Foundation.
