In the nearly 50 years since Steven Lynn first graduated from the University of Arizona, he has established himself as an outstanding business professional, an engaged member of the Tucson community and a devoted Wildcat.

In business, Lynn's successes led him to positions as CEO of Tucson's top advertising and public relations agency, and vice president at UNS Energy and Tucson Electric Power.

Throughout his career, Lynn dedicated himself to the improvement of Tucson's civic and business spheres, and he was honored with the Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year award.

Lynn has always been committed to community service. He is a board member of Banner Health and past chair of the Arizona Early Childhood Development and Health Board (First Things First). For the breadth and impact of his community service, Arizona Capitol Times named him the Leader of the Year in Volunteerism.

Alongside his career and community service, Lynn has been a loyal Wildcat. He is a founding member of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Magellan Circle donor society and regularly supports the Department of Communication, whether giving a guest lecture, participating in a program review or consulting about fundraising. Additionally, he is a member of the board of trustees for the UA Foundation, where his expertise helps advance the UA.

In acknowledgement of his contributions to the Tucson community and the UA, the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences has named Lynn its 2015 Alumnus of the Year.

The UA Alumni Association will honor all recipients of the 2015 Alumni of the Year Awards during an Oct. 23 event to be held 3-5 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Student Union Memorial Center. For more information, contact the Alumni Association at 520-621-7576.
