Since 1885, the UA has taken great pride in providing students with many of their basic needs.

Serving its students the highest quality food made from the highest quality ingredients is one of those responsibilities. Today, that same commitment to taste, variety, and convenience has culminated in the launch of the UA’s very own brand of to-go items: Red & Blue Market.

This exclusive line of to-go dining options for those in a hurry, or looking to get a quality meal during a lecture, is now available at select campus dining locations and convenience stores including Pangea, U-Mart, Highland Market, Fuel, Bookends Café, Park Student Union, Nucleus and other campus convenience stores. Made fresh daily, items include deli sandwiches, salads, wraps, fruit plates, yogurt and granola parfaits and decidedly non-traditional to-go offerings like Pangea sushi, hummus and pita chips, dolmas, and more.

“The launch of Red & Blue Market is a big deal,” said Joel Hauff, interim director of the Arizona Student Unions. “These meals represent one more way for us to give our students an experience that they can’t get anywhere else.”

“We’re constantly searching for ways to keep our students eating well and feeling pleasantly surprised by the choices we present them,” said Jon Levengood, retail dining mangaer for Dining Services. “Red & Blue Market offers the perfect combination of student favorites and meals for those with more adventurous palates, presented in a way that’s completely authentic to the UA and the incredibly diverse array of people we feed.”

The team from UA Dining Services went to great lengths to ensure that menu items represented food that met discriminating opinions as well as a variety of health and nutritional needs.

Executive Chef Kevin Lau conducted extensive tastings and kitchen consultations with representatives from vegan and gluten-free student clubs. Gluten free diners will also have the added option of purchasing their meals from a dedicated Gluten Free Station located within Pangea.

The entire Red & Blue concept is homegrown. Everything from recipes, to menu, to package design was conceived and executed within the UA by a number of departments including the Arizona Student Unions, Dining Services and the Student Affairs marketing team.
