Poetry Center Talk – Eleanor Wilner

The Poetry Center is proud to present Eleanor Wilner, who will read from her work. After the reading, there will be a short Q&A and a book signing.

Eleanor Wilner is the author of seven books of poems, including "Tourist in Hell" (University of Chicago Press); "The Girl with Bees in Her Hair and Reversing the Spell: New & Selected Poems" (Copper Canyon Press); and she recently co-edited with Maurice Manning "The Rag-Picker’s Guide to Poetry: Poems, Poets, Process" (University of Michigan Press). Her work is widely anthologized, most recently in 2014 and 2016 editions of "The Best American Poetry."  Her awards include fellowships from the MacArthur Foundation, the National Endowment of the Arts and the PA Council on the Arts; the Juniper Prize and three Pushcart Prizes.

A former editor of The American Poetry Review, Wilner has a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University, has taught at many colleges and universities, and teaches currently for the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College.
