Book Club Friday at Boyce Thompson Arboretum – ‘Yard Full of Sun’ by Scott Calhoun

When: February 02, 2018 9:00am

The UA's Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior will host a book club meeting on "Yard Full of Sun" by Scott Calhoun.

In the book, Calhoun relates the journey of his family as they set out to build a home and garden in the desert. The text maintains a balance between practical and personal as Calhoun brings the same gusto to writing as to gardening, and his humor makes a very readable account. This warm and sunny book will inspire all gardeners to work with, rather than against, their climates. Calhoun is a fourth generation Arizonan and works as a writer, teacher and garden designer in Tucson. He operates Zona Gardens, and his home and garden have been featured in Horticulture and Sunset magazines.
