Women's Empowerment Luncheon Series #3: 'Finding Your Voice'

When: February 12, 2018 12:00pm to 1:30pm

UA women's basketball, the UA Health Sciences Office of Diversity & Inclusion, and the UA Office of Diversity & Inclusive Excellence invite you to attend the Women's Leadership and Empowerment Luncheon Series #3.

The luncheons are designed to examine, promote and empower women's leadership and action on the UA campus. The program will explore topics related to women including leadership, gender identity, empowerment, diversity, intersectionality, inequities, career progression and mentoring, and other areas that impact women's lives.

In addition to learning about women's experiences, one goal of the program is to create excitement about UA women's basketball. Adia Barnes, UA women's basketball head coach, will be part of the series.

Come meet UA women leaders and aspiring leaders through networking and create a community. This networking session will give participants the unique opportunity to connect with others on campus in an intimate setting and hear inspiring stories about instances when they found their voice, took risks, handled fear, rejection, criticism, built meaningful personal and professional networks, developed regular self-care practices to manage stress and juggle family, cultivated resilience and how it influenced their careers.

Participants have the opportunity to practice their networking skills and meet others.

Lunch will be provided. Limited seating will be available to the first 100 people who register at the link below. You must register to attend this event.
