TLA Made It Happen Talk – 'Glycosurf’s "Batch 21": Using UA-Invented Green Chemicals in the Skin Care Industry'
This presentation is part of Tech Launch Arizona's series "Made It Happen: From Research to Invention to Impact: Lunch-and-Learn Discussions With Entrepreneurial UA Researchers."
Presenters:
- Chett Boxley, CEO, Glycosurf
- Laura Silva, TLA senior licensing manager for the College of Science
During the course of research, a UA team created a novel technology for chemical synthesis of glycolipids – a technology that would be beneficial to a number of industries. The team included Jeanne E. Pemberton and Robin Polt, both with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry; Raina Maier, of the Department of Soil, Water and Evironmental Science; and researcher Cliff Coss.
Join us as we hear from Boxley about their experience identifying and defining their invention, and working with Tech Launch Arizona to commercialize it via their startup, Glycosurf.
