Boyce Thompson Arboretum Class – Tai Chi and Chi Gong
Deborah Joya, yoga and meditation facilitator based in Pinal County, will lead a tai chi and chi gong class at the UA's Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior. This standing or sitting practice moves your chi, or energy, which improves circulation, relaxation and overall well-being. Chi gong has been part of healthcare in China for thousands of years. This style of chi gong, known as Shibashi, has tai chi-like movements that are graceful and meditative. Joya emphasizes inner focus and ease through this practice. Additionally, she will be providing modifications to fit everyone's own unique body. We will meet at the visitor center and practice in a variety of beautiful places around the arboretum.
