UA Museum of Art Docent Program Information Session

When: April 09, 2019 1:00pm

Want to share your love of art with the community?

Being a UA Museum of Art docent is a great way to meet people, learn new skills and knowledge, and share your love of art with people of all ages. No experience required, but a willingness to learn and develop the confidence to lead groups is helpful! Docents also need to have availability during the day on weekdays to attend the Monday training sessions and eventually lead tours and talks which happen largely during regular school or business hours. Through interactive tours and community talks, UA Museum of Art docents create unique learning experiences and bring art to life alongside people of all ages and backgrounds.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2019-2020 docent training program, where you will hone your skills as a museum educator and deepen your understanding of art. No art or teaching background required!

Please note: Training will take place in English but speakers of Spanish and other languages are strongly encouraged to apply! We serve people of all ages and backgrounds and we hope our docents will reflect the diversity of the Tucson community.

A second session is scheduled for April 16.
