Exhibit – 'Ecological Bodies & The Haptic Home'

When: June 25, 2019 8:00am to July 25, 2019 4:00pm

"Ecological Bodies & The Haptic Home" revolves around ideas of tactile knowledge and the psychological fabric of home, family, and relationship to the earth.

The exhibit is an installation of sculpture, prints and mixed media by Ellery Page for her UA honors thesis. The printmaking imagery explores the relationship between trauma and physiology and how it stunts neuroplasticity. The accompanying poetry explores the breakdown of how trauma effects language and social dynamics.

Ellery is a Tucson-based artist and recent graduate of the University of Arizona, she received a BFA in 2D with emphasis in printmaking and a minor in creative writing. Her work generally focuses on the intersections in neuroscience, art, and poetry.

A reception will be held June 27 from noon-3 p.m.
