National Diabetes Prevention Program First Session

If you have prediabetes or other risk factors for Type 2 diabetes, the PreventT2 lifestyle change program can help you make a change to improve your health. Through the program, people across the country are learning the skills they need to lose weight, be more physically active, and manage stress. 

PreventT2 is part of the National Diabetes Prevention Program, led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It is proven to work – cutting the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by more than half. University of Arizona Cooperative Extension is offering the PreventT2 program in our community. Eligibility: Must be over 18, and have diagnosis of prediabetes or be eligible by a simple questionnaire.

The program lasts 12 months and will close to new participants after the fourth session on Sept. 24.
