Fall 2019 Showcase – "R&J: For Love or Money"

In our fall showcase, students share scenes and monologues from Romeo and Juliet sewn together by narrations that challenge us to set aside what we think we know about one of Shakespeare's most beloved plays. Is this simply the story of a pair of ill-fated, star crossed lovers, or is Shakespeare also making a broader commentary about the harm caused in our society by money, greed, and the cultural practices used to consolidate wealth and social standing? Come see the lovers and narrators fight it out.

Fall 2019 Training – Fitzmaurice Voicework

To prepare for this showcase, students will study Fitzmaurice Voicework. This is a vocal production training ideal for preparing the actor to meet the emotional, intellectual and physical demands of performing heightened classical texts.
