The University of Arizona Museum of Art Docent Council presents interactive and scholarly talks on artists and art movements related to the museum's collection. Can't make it to the museum? We bring the museum to you.
During the Great Depression, the Works Progress Administration's Federal Art Project hired hundreds of artists who collectively created more than 100,000 artworks. Some of the century's greatest visual artists were employed, including Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning, Mark Rothko, Philip Guston, Thomas Hart Benton and Stuart Davis.
