Ansel Adams VIP Preview Experience

The Center for Creative Photography's annual birthday celebration for Ansel Adams is back! Beat the crowds and join us for a special VIP reception to celebrate Ansel Adams and the release of the book, "Making a Photographer: The Early Work of Ansel Adams." Rebecca Senf, Ph.D., the book's author and Center for Creative Photography chief curator, will discuss the book and new exhibition, "Ansel Adams: Signature Style." A book signing will follow.

This event also includes exclusive access to objects from the Adams archive and a special one-night-only print viewing of Adams' photographs. There will also be birthday-inspired treats.

Full schedule:

  • 5:30 p.m.: Doors open.
  • 6 p.m.: Senf and CCP Director Anne Breckenridge Barrett will discuss the release of "Making a Photographer: The Early Work of Ansel Adams."
  • 7-8:30 p.m.: Reception, exhibition opening, book signing, print viewing, archival and conservation objects will be on display.
