Special Olympics Arizona seeks to bring all people with intellectual disabilities and closely related developmental disabilities into the larger society where they are accepted, respected and given the chance to become useful and productive citizens.
The Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics provides a way for law enforcement agencies to gather support for this worthy cause. Last year, the Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics raised more than $503,000 for more than 13,000 athletes in the state of Arizona.
The University of Arizona Police Department is hosting its fourth annual golf tournament in support of Special Olympics Arizona and the Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run. Please contact Officer Bethany Wilson for further details.
