The University of Arizona Cultural Centers, through Residence Life and the Office of the Dean of Students, invite you to participate in the first-ever UA Dialogue Institute. This two-day interactive experience is for professionals interested in increasing their capacity to promote diversity and inclusion on campus.
As UA professionals we are committed to the success of students from all backgrounds. However, despite our personal values we seldom come together to talk about how we overcome issues related to identity and difference on a day-to-day basis. Even when we are committed to social justice it can be difficult to talk about controversial issues related to race, sexual orientation, ability, class, gender and other identities.
The UA Dialogue Institute will be two days of engaging with other professionals to increase our ability and willingness to have important conversations about our social identities, those of our students and the impact of identity on our day-to-day work.
Participation is free, and snacks and lunch are provided both days.
