How can we help ourselves and others to become happier? How do neuroscientists research happiness, and what have they learned? How can we achieve it? What about the opposite of happiness – suffering in the form of stress, depression, and anxiety? In this weeklong workshop, students will explore many aspects of happiness through discussion of relevant neuroscience research, as well as observations from their own experiences; brainstorming ideas; identifying and reflecting on personal strengths; learning simple practices to build resiliency; and developing skills in self-discovery, managing stress, team learning, leadership and service. Community members active in the arts and sciences will work with them throughout the week. Discover what authentic happiness might look like for you!
