Chinese Poems Presentation - 'Finding Them Gone'

Monday, September 23, 2013 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Bill Porter, who publishes under the name Red Pine, is one of the foremost translators of Chinese poetry. In 2012, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation sponsored his pilgrimage to visit the homes, places of exile and graves of more than 30 of China's greatest poets.

Porter will present "Finding Them Gone," a selection of slides and poems from his pilgrimage with interludes of the qin, or Chinese zither, played by Paul Amiel.

This event is co-sponsored by UA College of Humanities, Arizona Quarterly, Chax Press and POG.
