The Office of the Chief Information Officer and NetApp are sponsoring a Women in Technology Careers event to encourage young women to explore careers in technology and related fields.
This will be a great opportunity for UA undergraduate women to meet and interact with women professionals in technology careers, learn more about job opportunities in technology related fields and network with like-minded students and women professionals.
The program will feature several accomplished women from the technology/science/engineering industries speaking about their careers, including representatives from NetApp, Cisco, Pima Women's Council, UA Office of the CIO, General Motors, Adobe and IBM.
There will be networking opportunities with the panelists and other women leaders from industry and higher education. Representatives will include women from the UA Office of the Vice President of Research, UA Human Resources Division, UA University Information Technology Services, UA Foundation, Arizona Telemedicine Program, NetApp, and Adobe.
An exposition with exhibit tables from UA tech-related clubs and organizations will be set up to meet and network with attendees. Expo participants include UA Career Services, UA Women in Science and Engineering, Associated Students of the University of Arizona clubs for women with tech and science interests, and UA schools and departments.
