EarthWeek 2014

EarthWeek is an annual research symposium organized by graduate students from the six departments in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences. The departments include Atmospheric Sciences, Geosciences, Hydrology and Water Resources, Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research, School of Natural and Renewable Resources and Soil, Water, and Environmental Science.

Graduate and undergraduate students will present talks and posters over the three-day conference, both during activities for their individual units and on Friday afternoon during the plenary sessions.

The plenary sessions on Friday, April 11, include an all-EarthWeek poster session at 12:30 p.m., a plenary oral session on the theme "Scaling the World," at 2 p.m., in which one student from each unit will present a talk on this topic in competition for prize money, and the 2014 keynote address by Marcia McNutt, editor-in-chief of "Science" and former director of the U.S. Geological Survey at 4 p.m.
