UA Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony Spring Concert

The University of Arizona Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony will perform their spring concert. The Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Gregg Hanson, will share the program with the UA Wind Symphony, conducted by Kevin Holzman and Oscar Thorp.

The Wind Symphony will feature a program of brilliant compositions including "English Dances" by Malcolm Arnold, "In Memoriam" by Alfred Reed and "Festive Overture" by Dmitri Shostakovich.

The Wind Ensemble will perform the second half of the concert, featuring the music performed during the ensemble's recent tour to Las Vegas, Reno and the College Band Directors National Association conference. The program includes Robert Gandalfi's "Vientos y Tangos," Carter Pann's "The Three Embraces," Percy Grainger's "Colonial Song," Adam Gorb's "Yiddish Dances" and David Maslanka's "Requiem." Each song performed will be one from the ensemble's tour of music.

$10 general admission, $7 UA employees and seniors 55+, $5 students
