Friday, September 2, 2016 - 8:00am to Thursday, May 31, 2018 - 5:00pm

Have you ever seen a telescope mirror that is three stories in diameter? If not, come experience how we make the largest and most challenging giant telescope mirrors in the world, right here on campus, on the east side of Arizona Stadium. Learn how innovative engineering, pioneering optical technology and unparalleled manufacturing techniques are used at the Richard F. Caris Mirror Lab to produce the next-generation of monolithic honeycomb mirrors that will revolutionize astronomy and explore deep into outer space. The UA is No. 1 in astronomy — come see one of the reasons why.

Tours are available Monday through Friday at various times and are 90 minutes long. Please visit the Mirror Lab website for more information.
