Arizona History Museum First Fridays: Tracing Tucson's Past With Dave Devine

Finding out about Tucson's 19th century history following the 1854 Gadsden Purchase can be difficult and confusing. This presentation will review some of the important events of this era which discussing techniques for making the research process easier.

Since 1995, David Devine has researched and written about the history of Tucson and Southern Arizona. This work has produced two books, five monographs, and numerous articles for the Tucson Weekly, for which he wrote from 1995 to 2011. A 1975 graduate of the University of Arizona, Devine has lived in Tucson most of his adult life.

Program included with admission to the museum. Discounted admission begins every Friday from 4-8 p.m. Must show valid Southern Arizona ID. Free validated parking available in the Main Gate garage.
