Constitutional Issues in Higher Education

Thursday, June 22, 2017 - 9:00am

The Dean of Students Office at the University of Arizona is pleased to present the annual Constitutional Issues in Higher Education Symposium.

Public institutions of Higher Education strive to support and encourage robust inquiry and critical discourse, which are foundational to academic pursuits, while encouraging civility, respect and access to educational opportunities. Balancing these often incongruous priorities and values is a difficult but essential responsibility for members of a university community. This year's symposium theme "Welcoming Speech" highlights the important role of colleges and universities to protect and promote free inquiry and expression as well as develop individuals who are intellectually and socially prepared for meaningful civic engagement and respectful dialogue.
We hope you will join us for a day of discussion, reflection and learning! We encourage you to reserve your spot by registering today!
