The University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music presents Outreach Honor Band, featuring middle-school and high-school musicians from Southern Arizona.
The University of Arizona Outreach Honor Band is co-coordinated by Karin K. Nolan and graduate teaching assistant Clifton Weston, and coached by UA music majors. The ensemble will perform under the baton of student conductors Camille Cook, Evan Gibson, Jesús Jacquez, and W. Aaron Rice, as well as co-coordinator Clifton Weston.
Outreach Honor Band is open to students in grades 6 through 9. Auditions take place at the beginning of each semester. The group meets on Saturday mornings. The students work with section coaches and various conductors to foster their musicianship skills, augment their performance repertoire and spark their love of music.
