'Music of Living' Featuring the University of Arizona Wildcat High School Outreach Choir
"Music of Living" featuring the University of Arizona Wildcat High School Outreach Choir, presented by the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music. The choir is comprised of outstanding choral musicians from local high schools.
The program will feature compositions by Dan Forrest, Stephen Foster, Karl Jenkins, John Leavitt, Lloyd Pfautsch, Byron J. Smith, James Taylor and Gwyneth Walker.
About the Wildcat Choir:
The UA Wildcat High School Outreach Choir meets Monday evenings to study and rehearse significant choral repertoire for presentation in concert. The ensemble is comprised of outstanding high school aged choral musicians from nine high schools from throughout the Greater Tucson area.

About the Conductor:
David Ashcraft is a Music Education instructor in the Fred Fox School of Music, and is an alumnus of The University of Arizona. Ashcraft served as choral director at Sahuaro High School in the Tucson Unified School District, and as a University supervisor of Teacher Candidates for Northern Arizona University prior to joining the faculty at the UA this fall. In addition to conducting the Wildcat Choir, current responsibilities include teaching music education courses and supervising student teachers. Ashcraft is an active conductor, clinician and adjudicator.
