The comprehensive, six-week summer program orients and acclimates high school students to the academic rigor and social engagement characteristic of campus life.

The BlastOff! summer camp at the UA is helping to develop the next generation of scientists. Founded by students and faculty in the UA Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, the student-run camp provides middle school students with a foundational understanding of STEM-related research and careers.

UA political science student Trevor Gervais, an Arizona Assurance scholar, is on a personal mission to ensure that educational resources are available to more students. Serving as a peer adviser in the Pathway to Academic Student Success probation program, Gervais mentors students whose grades have suffered for a variety of reasons, helping them to become better prepared so that they can stay at the UA and eventually graduate.

The UA's 150th Commencement ceremony included a high-energy fireworks show and memorial sendoff for thousands of UA students who earned their degrees. And the event included a number of sweet moments, including the engagement of two graduates.
