An international group of scholars will convene at the UA to explore, from a pre-modern perspective, whether links exist between genius and madness, health and faith and between spirituality and physical well-being. The International Symposium on Medieval and Early Modern Studies connects mental illness researchers and spirituality scholars to lay the foundation for studies on how to improve human life today.
The foundations were laid almost a century ago for what would evolve into the UA Museum of Art and the School of Art. The legacy of both continues to unfold with important contributions on and off campus to the artistic, creative, educational, historical, scholarly and cultural aspects of the visual arts. This is the final feature in a six-part series exploring the history the importance of the two UA units.
