Members of the public will get a glimpse into the ground-breaking research being done at the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center during the Healthy Heart 2000 conference in February.

Doctors and scientists from the Sarver Heart Center, a center of excellence at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center, will talk about their work, take part in panels, hold discussions and provide participants with tips on how to take care of their hearts and their health. A healthful lunch also will be served.

The all-day conference is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at University Medical Center. There is a $15 registration fee and spaces are limited.

The Sarver Heart Center brings together more than 100 physicians and scientists dedicated to the prevention of heart disease and stroke. The world-renowned team conducts more than 90 percent of cardiovascular research in Arizona.
