Udall, the former Secretary of the Interior for the Kennedy and Johnson administrations will discuss various topics with anchor Bill Buckmaster

Udall, who was born in St. Johns, Ariz., began his career as a lawyer after graduating from the UA. Elected to the House of Representatives as Democrat in 1954, he was appointed to both the committee of Interior and Insular Affairs and the Committee of Education and Labor and served on the Joint Committee on the Navajo-Hopi Indian Administration.

During the '60s, Udall was the Arizona campaign chairman for John F. Kennedy's presidential bid and helped secure Kennedy's nomination.

Under the Johnson and Kennedy administrations, Udall was crucial in the development of the Wilderness Bill, which preserved 9.2 million acres of federal lands in the West; the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act; the expansion of the National Park System, and the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

Following his nine years of service as the Secretary of the Interior, he taught, wrote, lectured, practiced law and continued his advocacy for the protection of the environment. Udall currently resides in Sante Fe, N.M.
