Match-Ups Set for 2K Sports Classic Semifinals

The Wildcats men's basketball team will take part in doubleheaders at Madison Square Garden in November.

The University of Arizona men's basketball team will be featured in two early season games in New York City as part of the championship rounds of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.

The Wildcats will participate in a pair of doubleheaders at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 17-18 along with Mississippi State, St. John's and Texas A&M. All four games will be televised by ESPN2.

The semifinal match-ups, scheduled for Nov. 17, feature Texas A&M vs. Mississippi State at 7 p.m. EST, while St. John's faces Arizona immediately following.

Winners will meet in the championship game on Nov. 18 at approximately 7 p.m. EST, while the consolation game is slated to start at 4:30 p.m.

The complete bracket for the 2011 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer will be announced at a later date.

Arizona will return three starters and 11 letterwinners from last season's club that posted a 30-8 record, won the Pac-10 regular season championship and advanced to the NCAA West Regional final.
