James J. Riley, associate professor of soil, water and environmental science and academic advisor to the UA Lacrosse Team, is seeking additional faculty to assist him in providing counseling and mentoring to team members, particularly freshman.
The time required is not extensive, but giving the team members guidance is essential if they are to do well at the University of Arizona.
The team has a roster of 30 plus players. At the end of the spring season they were ranked 11th in the US Lacrosse Intercollegiate Associates poll. They were in the national playoffs last year and missed qualifying this year by one game. The team receives modest support from the UA.
