President Shelton’s State of the University Address to be Broadcast Statewide

University of Arizona President Robert N. Shelton will deliver a State of the University Address at an on-campus luncheon on Nov. 6, and the speech will be broadcast statewide during the month of November.

Shelton will present a glimpse of where the University is after his first year as president and outline the priorities and goals that he sees for the year ahead.

The State of the University Luncheon takes place on Nov. 6 at the Irving & Rose Levine Grand Ballroom at the UA Student Union Memorial Center. The event schedule is as follows:

  • 11:30 p.m. -- Doors open to registered attendees
  • 12:30 p.m. -- Doors open to the general public (limited seating is available)
  • 12:45 p.m. -- Program begins

    The address will be broadcast throughout Arizona on Cox television. The dates and times for the Cox broadcast are:

      • Saturday, Nov. 10, 3 p.m.
      • Thursday, Nov. 15, 9 p.m.
      • Saturday, Nov. 17, 10:30 p.m.

        In Southern Arizona, the address will also air on the UA Channel on:

        • Wednesday, Nov. 7, 7:30 p.m.
        • Saturday, Nov. 10, 8:30 p.m.
        • Sunday, Nov. 11, 6:30 p.m.
        • Wednesday, Nov. 14, 5:30 p.m.
        • Thursday, Nov. 22, 7:30 p.m.


          The UA Channel is available on Cox channel 116 in Tucson, Comcast channel 76 in Tucson and Oro Valley and Cox channel 7 in Sierra Vista.
