The Boston Camerata, an early music vocal ensemble that takes its name from the music schools of the Italian Renaissance, will perform Jan. 26-27 at Crowder Hall.
Directed by Joel Cohen, the program will include selections from their recent recording, "The American Vocalist," that explores early American spiritual music. Cohen, a leading authority in the field of medieval and Renaissance musical performance, has directed the Boston Camerata since 1968.
Both UApresents performances begin at 8 p.m. and tickets are $35, with discounts for UA students, faculty and staff. An "Arts Encounter" discussion will be held 45 minutes before each performance in a room next to Crowder Hall.
