UA News Services is kicking off its University-wide news and information web site at uanews.org.

UANews.org, managed by the office of News Services, was developed to consolidate campus-wide news and information at a convenient, primary web site. This one-stop, online resource provides links and news throughout the University.

Information providers from the Arizona Health Sciences Center and colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and Engineering and Mines have joined UA News Services staff to provide a consolidated launching site to news University-wide. General News Services information specialists cover news involving the arts, sciences, humanities, business, architecture, education, administration and more.

Additional information and major links on the site include the University Master iCalendar, LQP OnLine, and the UA Speakers Service.

The "About UANews.org" link offers assistance to campus departments and units that want to communicate their news to the local, state, national and international media. Information on radio, video, consulting and publicity guidance also is available. A "For Media link" offers media assistance in finding experts on campus, parking and listserv resources.

"We wanted to make it easier for campus and news media to find out what's going on," said Vern Lamplot, associate director of News Services.
