UA Presidential Candidate to Visit Campus
Temple University President Ann Weaver Hart will visit campus to meet students, faculty, staff, administrators and community members.

University of Arizona presidential candidate Ann Weaver Hart will be on campus for public events to meet and speak with members of the campus and Tucson community.

Hart, currently the president of Temple University, has been named by the Arizona Board of Regents as the sole candidate to serve as the UA's 21st president.  

A Feb. 13 event will be held at 4:30 p.m. at Gallagher Theater, located at the Student Union Memorial Center, 1303. E. University Blvd. Information on Hart's schedule for Feb. 13 and 14 is available online.

UA President Eugene G. Sander, along with members of the Arizona Board of Regents, will provide brief comments before Hart speaks.

In addition to her presidency at Temple University, Hart has served as president of the University of New Hampshire and provost and vice president for academic affairs at Claremont Graduate University. She also has served as professor of educational leadership, dean of the Graduate School and special assistant to the president at the University of Utah.

"We hope that Tucson and the entire state of Arizona will welcome Dr. Hart's candidacy with open arms," Regent Dennis DeConcini, UA Presidential Search Committee co-chair, said after Hart's candidacy was announced.
