Summer Science Saturday – 'Our Sun'

The Lunar and Planetary Laboratory's free, annual, open house this year will feature the Sun and the upcoming NASA Parker Solar Probe Mission, slated for a summer 2018 launch. The event will include all-day exhibits about the mission, and children's activities.

11 a.m. lecture:

Joe Giacalone, professor of planetary sciences and co-investigator for the Integrated Science Investigation of the Sun instrument on the Parker Solar Probe, will present a lecture titled "Parker Solar Probe: A Mission to Touch the Sun."
