Performance – UA String Project Community Student Concert
Saturday, December 8, 2018 - 4:30pm
The String Project is dedicated to the partnership of teaching and learning in music. This outreach program is designed to inspire and foster creativity among young musicians and cultivate a learning environment to enable the development of future string teachers. While these instructors gain experience, elementary and middle school students in the Tucson community are able to study music at little or no cost. The String Project is directed by UA music professor Theodore Buchholz. Lessons and classes are taught by master's and doctoral teaching assistants and music education majors.
