A Bite to Eat: Then and Now

The Arizona Historical Society invites you to join us for an informal talk and demonstration of U.S. Army field rations from frontier days in Arizona Territory to today in Afghanistan and Iraq. The program is in conjunction with the new exhibition "A Bite to Eat: Feeding the Troops."

SFC Joey M. Bupp Jr., U.S. Army, and SSG Steven J. Mariani, U.S. Army, will share their food experiences with MREs (Meals Ready to Eat).

June 14 is Flag Day as well as the 239th birthday of the U.S. Army. Enjoy a piece of birthday cake after the program.

This program is free with paid admission to Fort Lowell Museum. Admission is $3. Free parking is available at Fort Lowell Park, at North Craycroft Road and Glenn Street.
