Open Access Week - 'Data Reproducibility: Integrity and Transparency'
Transparency, integrity and reproducibility are defining aspects of the scientific method. According to a survey conducted by Nature in 2016, 52 percent of the respondents agreed there is a "significant crisis of reproducibility." There are many factors that lead to problems with reproducing research results – from selective reporting of results to poorly documented data analysis to unavailable methods or codes. In addition, today's scientific landscape may have a negative influence on quality research – competition for funding and pressure to publish may encourage uncritical acceptance of results.

Our Open Access Week events will address issues of how to make one's scholarship more actionable. They are free to attend, and refreshments will be served.
