"Flavours of Malaysia" is an annual cultural event for the Tucson community by the emerging cultural club the Malaysian Students Association (MSA). This affair is to showcase the diverse cultures of Malaysia. Everyone is welcome. Malaysia is a multiethnic and multicultural country in Southeast Asia. The ethnic groups of Malaysia consist of the indigenous communities, the Malays, Chinese, Indians and other ethnicities.
This is UA's first Malaysian Students Association, founded in Fall 2015. Since then, the club has seen a twofold increase in Malaysian student enrollment in the past year! The association is affiliated with the Malaysian Embassy, Malaysian Department of Education in Los Angeles (EMLA) and ASUA. MSA has been nominated for the Outstanding New Organization Award in 2016 and Best Multicultural Program Award in 2017 by ASUA during the annual Club Awards. The Malaysian Students Association invites you to join them in a gastronomical adventure!
There will be authentic Malaysian cuisine, games, trivia questions and a wonderful opportunity to interact with a diverse group of Malaysians! It's an opportunity to experience a brand new culture on campus. Selamat Datang! ("Welcome" in Malay, the official language of Malaysia.)
